Managing Referral Companies

The Referral Companies page allows your organization to manage the companies associated with your EAP program. From this page, you can create companies, import them in bulk, export your full list, view enrolled‑member counts, and deactivate companies that are no longer part of your program.

This article explains each part of the Referral Companies page and how to use it effectively.

Access

Administrators and Coordinators have full access.
Peer Supporters have no access.

In the Organization Management Module, select Referral Companies from the side menu.

The Referral Companies page will be displayed.

Each referral company appears in a table with the following fields:
  • Company - The name of the referral company
  • Enrolled Members - The number of enrolled members currently assigned to that company
  • Created At - The date the company was added
  • Options - Actions such as Edit or Deactivate
To help you find companies quickly, the page includes:
  • A search field (search by company name)
  • Three filter buttons:
    - Active: Companies currently available to assign
    - Inactive: Companies that have been deactivated
    - All: Full list

Default Referral Company

The default referral company is the company automatically assigned to new enrolled members when no other referral company is selected. It appears at the top of the Referral Companies list and is marked with a Default tag for easy identification. Only one referral company can be set as the default.

Creating Referral Companies

To add a new referral company, select the + Create Company button at the top of the Referral Companies page.

The Create New Company pop-up window will be displayed.

Input the referral company name.

Select whether this should be the default referral company.

Click Save to create the company record.

When adding a company, the system checks for duplicates. If the company already exists, it will not be saved. You’ll see an error message: “Referral company already exists.” This prevents accidental duplication and keeps your list clean.

Editing a Referral Company

You can edit an existing referral company to update its name or change whether it is the default referral company.
To edit a company, click the Options menu next to the company. From the drop-down list, select Edit.

The Update Company pop-up will be displayed. Update the company name and/or adjust the Default setting. Click Update to save your changes.

Importing Referral Companies

You can upload a CSV file to add multiple companies at once. To do so, select Upload csv file.  A file picker window will open, allowing you to select a file from your device.
Import File Requirements
Your CSV must contain one column with the header row titled "Company". List only the company names beneath it.

Example:
   Company
   Referral Company 1
   Referral Company 2
   Referral Company 3
Duplicate Handling During Import
If the file contains companies that already exist:
  • Existing companies are skipped
  • New companies are imported normally

Exporting Referral Companies

To download your full list of referral companies, select Export Report.

Your export file is immediately downloaded to your device.

The export includes:
  • Company name
  • Organization ID
  • Whether it is the default company
  • Enrolled‑member count
  • Deactivation date (if applicable)
  • Created/updated timestamps

Deactivating Referral Companies

If a referral company is no longer part of your program, you can deactivate it from the Options menu. Deactivation removes the company from the list of active companies that can be assigned to enrolled members.
When a referral company is deactivated:
  • All enrolled members assigned to that company are unenrolled from your EAP program
  • Their enrolled‑member status becomes inactive
  • They no longer receive free access to certified meetings
  • If they are subscribed to your organization, their subscription remains in place, and they may continue registering for meetings but must pay any required registration fee

To deactivate a referral company, click the Options menu next to the company. From the drop-down list, select Deactivate.

A confirmation pop-up appears with three choices:

Deactivate
  • Unenrolls members from your EAP program
  • Does not unregister them from meetings they are already registered for
Deactivate & Unregister Meetings
  • Unenrolls members
  • Also unregisters them from all future meetings
Cancel
  • Stops the process; nothing changes
