How to Cancel a Meeting

If you need to cancel a meeting you have scheduled, you can do so from the Upcoming Meetings page. Canceling a meeting immediately removes it from the calendar and notifies all registered members. This guide explains how to cancel a single meeting and what happens when you do.

Access

Accessible by Administrators, Coordinators, and Peer Supporters
In the Organization Management Module, select Meetings from the sidebar menu. In the drop‑down menu, select Upcoming.
The Upcoming Meetings page will be displayed. All current and upcoming meetings will be displayed here.
To learn more about the features and information available on this page, see Upcoming Meetings Page.

Cancelling a Meeting

Locate the meeting you want to cancel. Click Options, then select Edit from the drop down menu.

The Update Meeting page will be displayed, showing the full settings of your meeting. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Cancel Meeting.

Cancelling a Meeting in a Series

If the meeting you are cancelling is part of a meeting series, only this individual meeting will be cancelled. The rest of the series will remain scheduled as usual.

If you need to cancel all meetings in a series, see Cancelling a Meeting Series.

Review Registration Count and Transactions before cancelling

The Review section at the top of the Update Meeting page gives you a quick snapshot of who is affected and how many meeting‑fee refunds will be processed if you cancel. Reviewing them ensures you make an informed decision before removing the meeting from the calendar.

What happens when a meeting is cancelled?

When you cancel a meeting:
  • Registered members receive a cancellation notification.
  • The meeting is removed from your Upcoming Meetings list.
  • If the meeting had a fee, members are automatically refunded.
