Your Organizational Profile

As a team member in an organization, you have an organizational profile that helps members learn more about you and the support you provide. This profile appears on your organization’s landing page and can be updated by you or an administrator.

This article explains where your profile appears, how to update it, how your photo is used, and how to hide your profile if needed.

Every Team Member Has an Organizational Profile

All team members (Admins, Coordinators, and Peer Supporters) have an organizational profile. Your profile includes your profile photo and a short greeting or introduction. This information helps members feel connected to the people leading meetings and chatrooms.

Where Your Profile Is Displayed

Clicking on More Info displays the full profile.

Important:
  • The Group Leaders tab is only displayed if the organization has chosen to turn it on.
  • All team members appear here unless their profile is hidden.

How to Edit Your Organizational Profile

You can update your own organizational profile at any time.
To edit your profile, select Organizations from the top menu.

Find your organization's tile and click Profile.

The Organization Profile form is displayed in a pop-up window.

Your organizational profile includes a small set of fields that help members learn more about you and the support you provide. Only five fields on this form are currently active. The remaining fields are not in use.

Below is a description of each functioning field.
Short Greeting to Your Peers
  • A brief introduction that appears on your organizational profile.
  • Use this space to share a warm, one‑sentence greeting or a short message that helps members get to know you.

Motivation to Help
  • Explain why you choose to support others.
  • This helps members understand what inspires your work and what brings you to peer support.

Your Recovery Status
  • Share a brief statement about where you are in your recovery journey.
  • This helps members understand your lived experience and the perspective you bring.

I am willing to be scheduled to host meetings for my organization
Turn this toggle ON if you are available to be assigned as a Group Leader or Backup Group Leader for meetings.
  • ON: You appear in the list of available leaders on the Create a Meeting page.
  • OFF: You do not appear in the list and cannot be assigned to lead or back up meetings.
This setting only affects meeting assignments. It does not affect your visibility on the Group Leaders tab.

Hide my profile
Controls whether your organizational profile appears on the Group Leaders tab.
  • ON: Your profile is hidden and will not appear on the Group Leaders tab.
  • OFF: Your profile is visible to members on the Group Leaders tab.
Administrators can also manage this setting from the Team page.

How to Add or Change Your Profile Photo

Your organizational profile uses the same profile photo as your HeyPeers member account.

To update your profile photo, click your profile photo or initials in the top‑right corner. Select Settings in the drop-down menu.

Under Personal Information, click Select Image to upload a new photo.
You can upload a photo or avatar of your choosing. We recommend choosing a photo where your face is clearly visible, something inviting and expressive of your personality.
Recommended dimensions: 200px × 200px
Maximum size: 2MB

How to Hide Your Profile

If you prefer not to appear on the Group Leaders tab, you can hide your profile.

To hide your profile, open your organizational profile editor by clicking the Profile button on the organization tile.

Locate the Hide My Profile toggle option. Slide the toggle right (the toggle should turn green).

Click Update to save your change.

When a profile is hidden:
  • You will not appear on the Group Leaders tab.
  • Your profile remains visible to administrators inside the Organization Management module.

Administrators Can Also Edit Your Profile

Administrators have the ability to manage certain parts of your organizational profile from the Team page. This includes:
  • Editing your profile information
    Admins can update your greeting.
  • Managing your visibility
Admins can turn Hide Profile on or off.
    • When ON, you will not appear on the Group Leaders tab.
    • When OFF, your profile is visible to members.
