Subscribers vs. Enrolled Members
Subscribers and enrolled members represent two different types of relationships on HeyPeers. Understanding the difference helps your organization manage meeting access, data collection, and EAP participation more effectively.
What Is a Subscriber?
A subscriber is any member who has connected with your organization on HeyPeers. Subscribing:
- Gives your organization access to limited profile information
- May include additional intake form or survey responses (if enabled)
- Is free and optional unless your organization requires it for registration
What Is an Enrolled Member?
An enrolled member is someone who has been formally added to your organization’s EAP program. Enrollment:
- Includes referral details such as referral company, case number, and mandated status
- Allows the member to attend a set number of certified meetings at no cost to them
- Ensures the cost of those certified meetings is covered by the EAP as part of your service agreement
How They Relate
A member may be:
Enrollment does not require subscription, and subscription does not enroll a member in your EAP program.
- A subscriber only
- An enrolled member only
- Both a subscriber and an enrolled member

Identifying the Member
Understanding where a member appears in your organization’s lists helps you quickly determine whether they are a subscriber, an enrolled member, or both.
Enrolled Member
All enrolled members appear on the Enrolled Members page. This list includes only individuals who have been formally enrolled in your EAP program.
Subscribers
All subscribers appear on the Subscribers page. This list includes anyone who has an active subscription to your organization, whether or not they are enrolled in your EAP program.
How the Subscribers Page Works for EAP Organizations
For organizations enabled for EAP, the Subscribers page includes additional indicators to help you identify enrolled members.
An Enrolled column appears in the Subscribers table.
A filter button labeled Enrolled Members is added to the top of the page. Selecting this filter shows only subscribers who are also enrolled members.
These enhancements make it easy to distinguish between subscribers, enrolled members, and individuals who fall into both categories.
- Yes - the subscriber is also an enrolled EAP member
- No - the subscriber is not enrolled in the EAP program
